Sanne Reijenga works as the Event & Volunteer Coordinator for OzHarvest South Australia.
OzHarvest is Australia’s leading food rescue organisation, collecting over 100 tonnes of good food
every week and delivering it to more than 1300 charities, making a positive impact on the lives of
vulnerable men, women and children.
In her role, Sanne looks after awareness raising and fundraising events as well as corporate and
community engagement, oversees the ever-growing Yellow Army of volunteers in Adelaide, and is
responsible for local marketing and communication.
Sanne is passionate about reducing food waste, connecting people by sharing food and educating
people about the need to work towards a more sustainable food system. In her home country the
Netherlands she co-founded the Youth Food Movement, while studying a Bachelor in Cultural
Anthropology and Development Sociology. Previously she also completed a Bachelor of Commerce
in International Business and Languages, specialising in Event Management.
Outside of her job with OzHarvest, loves spending time with friends and family over a home cooked
meal and a good glass of wine.
