Advocating for policies and laws that lead to the success of the waste and resource recovery sector

As the national peak body for the waste and resource recovery sector, WMAA advocates for our members before decision makers at all levels of government. WMAA relies on strong, evidence-based advocacy and policy development, which is critical to the success of the sector.

Guiding Principles
These principles guide WMAA's advocacy and policy work preparing government submissions, meeting with Ministers or heads of agencies, or developing WMAA's own policy positions. The Guiding Principles have been endorsed by the Board and State Branch Presidents.
Areas of Advocacy and Engagement for 2017
Priority areas for advocacy and engagement have been identified by members. These give WMAA a clear united voce to engage with governments and other stakeholders and are guiding the work of the National Office, Divisions, State Branches and associated working groups during 2017.

WMAA Submissions
WMAA's National Divisions and State Branches make submissions to government on key issues, reviews and reforms that impact our members. To view a list of WMAA submissions, click here or follow the drop down menus.

If you are interested in working on submissions and policy, please contact the WMAA National Office to get involved.
