Waste Educators Training Course

This two–day course is a must for new and experienced waste and resource recovery educators. Presented by experienced waste educator and trainer, Pat Armstrong, the course will provide you with practical strategies and tools that will help you in your workplace. It covers: 

• Introduction to sustainability, waste minimisation and resource recovery
• Success factors in effective teaching and learning
• Transformative education and transmissive education
• Paradigms and principles of effective education for sustainability
• Models, theories, research results and case studies in behaviour change 
• Effective methods of facilitating and mentoring
• Thinking and planning strategically
• Building relationships and capacity within a group
• Integrating evaluation, reporting and communication into your strategic plan

Cost: WMAA Members $180, Non-members $260 (inc. GST)
