| What is Compost Victoria? |
Compost Victoria was established in 1997 under the name of the Organics Recovery Working Group, a working group of the Waste Management Association of Australia, Victorian Branch. The Group recently decided on the new name, however it remains a working group of the WMAA.
The membership base, structure and strategic plan of the group are presented below. This strategic plan is the first for Compost Victoria and it is expected that it will be a dynamic document able to be adapted to the needs of its members over time. |

| Compost Victoria will foster industry development, promote the benefits and uses of recycled organics products, and demonstrate quality through the development, implementation and promotion of best practice systems and training programs. |

| To be the peak body for composting in Victoria and to see the sustainable recovery of all recycled organic material. |
