Vision
To be the leading professional landfill group within NSW
Goals
- To be an open channel of communication between landfill operators, landfill regulators and other relevant stakeholders
- To promote the understanding of impacts on the landfill industry of legislation, regulations and other guidance documents produced by regulators.
- To provide a forum for the presentation of new technologies and the open discussion of technical ideas that are important for our industry.
Who are we?
The Landfill Working Group generally consists of landfill operators, waste companies, local government, consultants and suppliers working within the waste and environmental management industry. Working group office holders have been elected by the working group members.
The Landfill Working Group meets on a 6 weekly basis (click here for our meeting schedule). Members are invited to attend any or all meetings and participate in the discussion and decision making process. Meetings typically include a discussion on any recent changes in legislation of relevance to the waste industry, industry news, regional landfill issues, reports from the national landfill committee, various special sub-committees and supplier presentations. The Working group also holds regular technical presentations in the format of breakfast meetings.
How to join
