C&D CODE OF ETHICS
The following code of ethics has been developed by the C & D Recycling Division to provide a basis for membership of the division and to protect and enhance industry credibility. It is intended that this code will be provided to corporate members of the division and will be a strict requirement for the maintenance of membership.CONSTRUCTION & DEMOLITION RECYCLING OPERATORS CODE OF ETHICS
- Application
This code of ethics applies to members of the C &D Recycling Division of the Waste Management Association of Australia who recycle building materials from construction and demolition sites.
- Licensing Requirements
Members shall hold and display at their workplace all relevant licenses necessary to operate a recycling facility or item of plant.
- Approvals
Members shall ensure that all necessary planning approvals are obtained prior to the commencement of their operations either on site or at a fixed depot.
- Statutory Requirements
Members shall comply with all statutory requirements with particular regard to any form of pollution through the development and implementation of environmental management plans for their sites.
- Quality of Product
Members shall produce products to conform to their customers’ nominated specifications and shall not mislead by inappropriate descriptions of products or technical information.
- Responsibility
Members shall manage their businesses in a responsible and professional manner to ensure the continuously improving good name of the industry.
