Mission
“To foster the continuous improvement and sustainable development of collection, processing and marketing in the ROM Industry by providing a focal point for representing a broad range of industry views and experience” .
Objectives
* Foster the identification and expansion of sustainable markets for ROM.
* Develop and promote environmentally sustainable ROM practices
* Encourage increased professionalism in the ROM Industry in NSW.
* Develop, assess, and provide comment on issues and policies affecting the ROM Industry.
* Promote research and development into ROM technologies. * Arrange and sponsor meetings, conferences and seminars or similar gatherings on subjects of interest to the ROM Industry.
* Promote consumer confidence by developing and supporting high industry standards for ROM.
* Educate communities about the benefits of using ROM.
* Promote home composting and mulching, and methods for applying garden and food management practices which avoid the creation of waste.
* Make available general industry data, information, education material and technical information on the ROM Industry.
