Summary:

A General Meeting of the members of WMAA will be held to confirm the new WMAA fees associated with the new Membership Structure which will come into effect  on 1st March 2012. This meeting is additional to the Annual General Meeting which will be held on Thursday 19th April 2012.

Summary:

Over the past decade the UK has experienced a significant reduction in the quantities of waste being landfilled. Andy Street, a Director of UK waste management firm SLR, will discuss how that has occurred and other developments in UK waste management. The influence of landfill tax, EU Directives and other policies will be discussed along with any potentially applicable lessons for Australian local government, industry and policy makers.
