Organisational Structure

The CA Committee consists of three members from each of the state compost working groups and up to one member from any Australian State or Territory without a working group. The state compost working groups are Compost NSW, Compost Victoria, Compost SA, Recycled Organics Western Australia and Compost Queensland.

Each state compost working group selects three representatives from their state to sit on the CA Committee. The CA Committee may call for nominations and select a representative from Australian States or Territories that do not have a working group.
The CA Committee meets monthly and a AGM is held once a year.

Compost Australia Executive

The CA Executive, consisting of a Chair, Deputy Chair and Treasurer is elected by the Compost Australia Membership at the AGM. Secretarial functions are provided by the WMAA head office under the direction of the National Project Manager – Recycled Organics.

Making and Recording Decisions

At the 2006 Annual General Meeting (AGM) the membership agreed to the adoption of a standard procedure for making and recording decisions. The procedure also provides details on the structure of the committee and executive, the running of the committee meetings and the operation of the AGM.
