ANZCWMIG has developed a set of Audit Protocols to be used by members to assist them in ensuring they are meeting the requirements applicable to them as specified in the current edition of the Code of Practice. This is important so that members can demonstrate compliance to their clients and ANZCWMIG. These Audit Protocols and the requirement that members have agreed to in regards to obtaining 3rd party accreditation as to compliance, is an innovative process for the waste management industry and one that ANZCWMIG members have taken on board to further their commitment to "best-practice" clinical waste management.

The Audit Protocols (Version 1) have been posted so that interested parties can review the document to clearly understand contractor’s obligations under the Code of Practice for which they are a signatory to. This document provides generators of clinical and related waste with assistance in meeting obligations under such programs as the EQuIP hospital accreditation system.

These Protocols are being trialed and may have some minor amendments following completion of this process. The latest version will be posted as they become available.
