Life Membership
At its Annual General Meeting in April 2000, the WMAA confirmed to recognise Life Membership as a category of membership. The process for nomination and the creation of a procedure for assessing individuals who were, in the opinion of the Board, deserving of receiving an offer to take up Life Membership of the Association, was also set out at the 2000 AGM.
Criteria for Membership
Life Membership can be awarded by the Board to an individual who, in the opinion of the Board, has contributed specifically to the objectives of the Association at a high level for an extended period of time.
The process of assessing nominees for consideration of Life Membership is managed by the WMAA Board and takes into account the following:
- the length of time that a nominee has been a Member of the Association
- the details and reasons provided by nominators for a Member to be considered for Life Membership
